I need MAC Help

I have a Mac Powerbook Pismo Laptop (g3?) Anyway, everytime I do a security update it gets screwy.

This latest glitch is driving me crazy though.

Everytime my laptop goes to sleep, when I bring it back up my Airport card refuses to come back online. I have to restart the whole damn computer to get it back up. Any ideas? Anyone? Bueller?

Some piece of software on your computer probably got a little out of whack at some point. Are you running OS X? If so, I'd recommend a couple of things:

First, try the "repair" feature of Disk Utility: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214 (go to the "Try Disk Utility" section).

If that doesn't do it, try re-installing Mac OS X. You'll need either the disks that came with your computer, or if you've upgraded, the upgrade disk. It's called "Archive and Install": http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120.

If you do an Archive and Install, you should do a Software Update afterwards.
