Just a sprinkle a day...

Chris over at Boybriefs shared his grocery list and the 1st item caught my eye. "Shower soap - something that smells manly and reeks of testosterone."

Now..we all know the gays love their foo-foo (or is it Feu-Feu Tony?) smelly stuff. I share ONE bathroom with THREE other boys and there is a wider range of bath products in my shower than there is at The Body Shop. We have Dove Body Wash, Softsoap (for our manly not so gay roommate), Kheil's Grapefruit Body Wash, Two types of peppermint wash and plain old Aveeno (mine, the sensitive skin guhrl.) Oh, and a bar of irish spring for the roomate who wants to feel more manly than he really is.

I also have a friend that I know who likes to be papmered with manicures and pedicure and facials..yet keeps a bottle of Old Spice Sport Wash in his shower...for the butch effect.

Tragic.

So, boys and girls...what's in your shower?

What's in my shower? Hmmm... lots of things actually, but I mainly use this high lather, soap free cleanser from Bath and Body Works. Smells nice.

A sidenote: I loved your comment on Dan R's blog about the time he went to some small town university and he was wondering about K-roger. That just made my day.

I don't know foo-foo. I leave that to you fancy west coasters. I got Lever 2000 body wash...it says "with Vitamin E," but I bought it just cause it it smelled fresh but not all sweet and stuff. I have Lever bar soap and Lava on the sink. But I like the body wash in the shower because I like the way those puffy scrubber things that you use it with feel on my belly and under my nuts.

I have at least two levels of everything. For going to work: Target "Fresh Spring" antibacterial body wash, Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Shampoo (I'm thinning), Pantene Pro-V Full and Thick Conditioner. For nights in the Castro: Suave Toasted Vanilla and Sugar body wash, American Crew Thickening Shampoo (discontinued, so I'm auditioning new shampoos) and American Crew Citrus Mint Cooling Conditioner. For quick post gym showers, a mangled bar of Dial antibacterial "Gold" soap. For shaving, Neutrogena Face Scrub. Don't get me started on the rest of my shaving regimen -- it's from Sephora. This is an interesting line of blog questions -- I'm more interested in what's in that drawer by your bed!

Okie dokie ... in my shower (I know because I just unpacked it) ...

I have a bottle of Whole Foods 365 brand peppermint shampoo [It turns your whole bathroom into an herbal spa] ...

... a bottle of Target brand Spring Rain body soap [I'm a girl on a budget] ...

... Burt's bees honey and buttermilk body lotion ...

... ZIHR shaving cream and after shave lotion [it really is the only thing that can bust up those tough hairs under my chinny-chin-chin] ...

... and a purple mesh shower poof [for the poofter in me].

Thanks for the fun Kel.

IN the shower: Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash.

OUT of the shower: Anthony Glycerin Cleanser for the face. Usually I use Anthony shaving gel, but I couldn't find any (everyone was out) so I'm now using ZIRH shaving gel.

I used to have Oil Of Olay body soap, but my budget now requires Target brand --- but the bottle is pink and it appears to have the same incredients. Still. Not too cool. Um, Pantene shampoo for the little bit of hair I still have.

...there is some hard, but flexible oblong rubber thing with a mushroom tip. It has suction cups which attach it to the shower wall behind me. I've not yet figured out what it is, but I like the way it makes me feel when I glance at it. (oh, and it isn't mine. I've not a clue as to how it came to be there or why)

The cheapest shit I can find. Living on a budget here in NYC. Currently a giant bottle of Spa Logix body wash and Suave shampoo and conditioner. I do have a nylon scrunchee body scrubber.

I'm pretty manly. I clean myself with chunks of concrete and wash my hair with gasoline.

It's sexy.
